Who is responsible for your data?

This website is operated by Laura Milanese, professionally known as Laura Humphris, an independent artist and illustrator based in France.

When you submit an enquiry through this website, I may collect your name, email address and the message you provide.

This information is used to respond to enquiries about my work, illustration commissions and potential collaborations. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Enquiries that do not lead to a professional relationship are kept for no longer than 12 months after the last exchange, unless longer retention is necessary for a legal claim.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to my newsletter, I collect your email address to send occasional updates about my illustrations, works in progress and new projects.

Newsletter subscriptions are voluntary and are based on your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in each newsletter.

Your email address is used for newsletter communications only and is not sold or used for unrelated marketing purposes.

Your subscription information is kept until you unsubscribe or the mailing list is discontinued. Minimal information may be retained where necessary to record your withdrawal and respect your preferences.

Data storage and service providers

This website is hosted by Squarespace. Information submitted through the contact form and email addresses collected through the newsletter may be processed by Squarespace.

If contact-form notifications are sent to my Gmail inbox, Google also processes the information as part of its email service.

These service providers process data in accordance with their applicable terms and privacy policies. Where personal data are transferred outside the European Economic Area, applicable legal safeguards must be in place.

Your rights

Under applicable data protection law, you may request access to your personal data, ask for correction or deletion, request restriction of processing, or object to processing where applicable. You may withdraw consent to newsletter communications at any time.
